Kuala lumpur: Munsyi Muda Bahasa (MMB) of the Public Service have been encouraged to act as a digital bridge to enhance the national language through modern platforms. Director-General of Public Service (KPPA) Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz emphasized the need for MMB to adopt the latest technologies, including artificial intelligence, digital tools, and new platforms, to perform their roles effectively in the digital age.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Director-General highlighted the importance of modernizing language use without compromising linguistic heritage, drawing parallels with countries like Japan, South Korea, and Germany. He urged MMB to lead in utilizing terminology, big data, and financial technology developed by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) to promote and uphold the national language widely. His remarks were part of a speech delivered at the Munsyi Muda Bahasa Convention 2025 (KOMUDA ’25), as read by Deputy Director-General of Public Service (Operations) Datuk Mohd Shaiful Ibrahim.
KOMUDA ’25, organized by the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) in collaboration with DBP, aims to establish a coordination structure for participants as young language experts (MMB) during the National Language Decade 2025. The convention seeks to bolster public sector language initiatives and provide a knowledge-sharing platform for MMB.
The event also served as a venue to elect the Secretariat of the MMB of the Public Service for the 2025-2029 term, with members appointed to various roles, including Chairman Mohamad Ikhwan Al-Syahid (INTAN) and Deputy Chairman Dr Mohd Haz Hairul (Hospital Tunku Azizah), among others.
