Ipoh: The public has been reminded to always respect the rule of law and not manipulate racial and religious sentiments that could spark divisions within society. The Finance Minister's political secretary, Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim, emphasized that Malaysia is a country governed by the rule of law based on the Constitution, and any sensitive issues should be left entirely to the authorities for further action through the proper legal channels.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Muhammad Kamil stated that law enforcement is not something that can be carried out arbitrarily by any party. It must go through the proper legal processes and channels. He made these remarks while speaking to reporters after officiating at the MADANI frontliners appreciation ceremony and the Singgah Sahur with the Perak police contingent headquarters.

Muhammad Kamil advised the public to be more cautious on social media to avoid fake news and slander and not to be influenced by parties that exploit sensitive issues for attention, even though such groups represent only a minority. He noted that even if it may only be five percent who are playing up this issue, this small group often creates a lot of noise on social media, leading to inaccurate perceptions among the public.

In conjunction with Ramadan, he reminded the public to embrace the spirit of the holy month as an opportunity to seek the truth and not be swayed by sentiments, slander, and incitement spread by irresponsible parties. He concluded by highlighting that the majority of the people in this country want unity and cohesion to prevail. Therefore, the public must be more vigilant, aware, and cautious before accepting and reacting to any information or current issue.
