Kuala lumpur: Prudential Assurance Malaysia Bhd (PAMB) has introduced PRUPrestige Legacy, a new wealth management and legacy planning solution tailored to meet the evolving needs of high-net-worth (HNW) individuals in Malaysia. PAMB Chief Customer, Marketing and Product Officer Chee Foong Wai mentioned that the plan is designed to help affluent clients preserve, protect, and transfer their wealth in a structured manner, reflecting the growing importance of legacy planning alongside wealth accumulation.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, today's high-net-worth individuals face increasingly complex financial challenges, with asset portfolios that often include businesses, investments, real estate, and holdings in multiple currencies. As a result, preserving wealth, ensuring asset liquidity, and maintaining control over how wealth is transferred to future generations have become just as important as growing it. Chee stated that PRUPrestige Legacy combines wealth accumulation, comprehensive protection, and succession planning within a single integrated solution, giving clients greater confidence in managing and preserving their assets.
The plan is designed to maximize premium allocation from the first day of participation and includes a Loyalty Bonus to enhance long-term return potential. To help customers navigate global economic uncertainty, PRUPrestige Legacy also offers multi-currency flexibility, allowing policyholders to link their coverage to the US dollar, Singapore dollar, Australian dollar, British pound sterling, Chinese renminbi Yuan, and Malaysian ringgit. According to the statement, customers may also choose to link their coverage to the price of gold, providing an additional hedge against inflation and helping preserve purchasing power over the long term.
The plan also includes a 'Legacy Enhancer' benefit, which provides additional insurance coverage at no extra cost from the age of 70, increasing progressively to as much as 50 percent by age 100, helping customers enjoy their extended years with greater confidence. To support clients' succession planning goals, PAMB has also incorporated a 'Legacy Settlement Option', featuring a trust arrangement that enables wealth to be distributed either as a lump sum, in periodic instalments, or upon the achievement of specified milestones, according to the policyholder's wishes.
Chee emphasized that at Prudential, the belief is that true financial confidence comes from knowing that loved ones and life aspirations are protected. PRUPrestige Legacy reflects the company's continued commitment to helping high-net-worth customers build a lasting legacy for future generations.
