Sepang:The Prime Minister's acknowledgment of Malaysia's adept hosting of the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix has inspired the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) to persist in organizing world-class motorsports events.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, SIC chief executive officer Azhan Shafriman Hanif expressed his deep appreciation for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's commendation, which he viewed as recognition of the organizing team's efforts in successfully executing the event despite a limited preparation period.
Azhan Shafriman extended his gratitude to the Prime Minister, as well as to all government ministries and agencies that provided crucial support for the race. He emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts and thanked those who enabled the successful organization of the F1 event.
Azhan noted that the collaboration among various parties was pivotal to the event's success. Looking ahead, he expressed hope that such cooperation would continue, paving the way for future F1 events in Malaysia.
During his Budget 2027 announcement, Anwar highlighted that Malaysia's effective hosting of the Gulf Air Bahrain F1 Grand Prix at SIC exemplified how national unity and collaboration among diverse communities are vital strengths for international accomplishments. He also underscored the dedication of volunteers, civil servants, and F1 personnel in ensuring the smooth execution of the prestigious race.
