Kuala lumpur: The retail price of RON97 petrol will remain at RM3.17 per litre for the period of August 7 to August 13. The Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced that the retail price of RON95 petrol will also stay unchanged at RM2.05 per litre during the same period.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will increase by three sen per litre, moving from RM2.91 to RM2.94. However, the diesel price in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan will remain constant at RM2.15 per litre.

MOF stated that the retail prices are determined weekly using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula. The government is committed to monitoring the global crude oil price changes and will implement appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people are protected.
