Kangar: The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, emphasized that peace should be valued and preserved as the fundamental basis for the well-being of the ummah and the stability of the country.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra made this call during the 219th Police Day celebrations, urging the community, especially in Perlis, to recognize peace as the greatest blessing in life. He highlighted the importance of ensuring that the security forces remain capable, which requires that police personnel receive adequate training, skills, and equipment to handle increasingly complex security threats.
In conjunction with the celebrations, the Raja Muda of Perlis participated in a cycling event organized by the Perlis Police Contingent around Utan Aji. The event was also attended by the Second Heir to the Perlis throne, Syed Sirajuddin Areeb Putra Al-Haj Jamalullail. Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra praised the police for their recent success in seizing 510 kilograms of methamphetamine worth RM25.5 million in Wang Kelian, Kaki Bukit, near Padang Besar.
His Royal Highness encouraged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities. Additionally, he presented contributions from the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to recipients, including Mahani Mat, 53, Haron Nayan, 81, and Ismail Matt Isa, 64. Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra also visited former Arau deputy police chief DSP (Rtd) Ishak Baharun at his home in Utan Aji.
