Kuala lumpur: The Scouts Association of Malaysia (PPM) today held an awards and medals presentation ceremony as a symbolic gesture to strengthen bilateral ties between Malaysia and regional authorities in Indonesia, particularly in Jambi province. Chief Scout of Malaysia Maj Gen Datuk Prof Dr Mohd Zin Bidin said the conferment serves as an important bridge in enhancing cooperation and the existing relationship between Malaysian scouts and the authorities in Jambi.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the ceremony was officiated by Melaka Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Mohd Ali Rustam, who is also PPM's patron. Mohd Zin highlighted that the awards not only recognize the services and support from Jambi leaders but also promote the spirit of the 'brotherhood of scouting' that transcends borders for regional progress and well-being.
He emphasized that the strong relationship established is highly significant, particularly in expanding community networks and fostering regional understanding. Moreover, it aims to strengthen the cross-border scouting brotherhood for peace, progress, and shared prosperity. Mohd Zin remarked on the potential for implementing more youth development programs, cultural exchanges, leadership training, and community service collaborations that can positively impact Scouts in both countries.
