Kuala lumpur: Powerwell Holdings Bhd has announced that it has accepted purchase orders (POs) valued at RM16.63 million to provide switchboards and components for a hyperscale data centre project located at Elmina Business Park, Selangor. This development marks a significant step for the company in supplying key infrastructure components for a major technological initiative.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Kejuruteraan Powerwell Sdn Bhd, received the POs from RYBE Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd, Protech Builders Sdn Bhd, and LFE Engineering Sdn Bhd. These orders, which were accepted between April and July of this year, are expected to be delivered by the first quarter of 2026.
Powerwell Holdings Bhd emphasized that these orders are anticipated to positively impact its consolidated earnings and net assets for the financial year ending March 31, 2026. The company noted that while it does not foresee any exceptional risks beyond typical operational challenges associated with purchase orders, it will take necessary measures to mitigate such risks.
In a separate statement, Catherine Wong Yoke Yen, the managing director of Powerwell, highlighted the significance of these orders in showcasing the company’s technical prowess in executing data centre projects. “We are delighted to have secured these orders, which reflect our strong technical expertise and proven track record, having completed numerous data centre projects for multinational corporations,” Wong stated.
Furthermore, Wong mentioned that the company’s outstanding order book as of the end of March 2025 stood at approximately RM116 million, not including the latest POs.
