Policeman Collapses and Dies During Drill at Sepang Police Headquarters

Sepang: A policeman tragically died after collapsing during a marching drill at the Sepang district police headquarters (IPD) yesterday. Corporal Khairil Idzhar Rodzi, 36, who was serving at the Dato' Abu Bakar Baginda Police Station, was declared dead at the IPD. The exact cause of his death remains undetermined at this time.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar, along with Selangor Police Family Association (Perkep) chairperson Datin Rozana Kasbon, extended their condolences to Khairil Idzhar's family. Shazeli recognized his passing as a significant loss to the Selangor police contingent, acknowledging his 17-year service with the Royal Malaysia Police.

In a statement shared on the Selangor Police's official Facebook page, Shazeli remarked on Khairil Idzhar's dedication and expressed sympathies to his family, referring to him by his service number, Cpl 171014. Reports from the media indicated that Khairil Idzhar collapsed during a drill and was subsequently pronounced dead by a medical officer from the Health Ministry.

As of now, the Sepang IPD has not released any official statement regarding the cause of death.
