Police To File For Inquest Into Durian Tunggal Shooting Soon

Police will be filing an application for an inquest into the shooting incident in durian tunggal:ctive roles.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, on July 20, the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC) decided that an inquest should be held to look into the matter. The AGC stated that the purpose of the proceeding is to establish the cause and circumstances of the deaths, examine the facts surrounding the incident, and determine whether any criminal elements were involved.

On Nov 24 last year, three men aged between 24 and 29 were shot dead at an oil palm plantation in Durian Tunggal around 4 am. The incident is said to have occurred when one of the men allegedly swung a machete at a police corporal, leaving the officer in his early 30s with serious injuries to his left arm.

On May 26, Kumar reportedly said that the investigation paper was resubmitted to the AGC following compliance with several further directives sought by the prosecution.
