Police Step Up Search Efforts For Missing Teen In Shah Alam

Shah alam: Police are searching for a 14-year-old local boy, Muhammad Shazriq Ziqri Abdullah, who was reported missing in Section 16 here for the past seven days.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Shah Alam district police chief ACP Sarudin Samah said a report was lodged by the boy's mother on June 24, prompting an immediate search operation. The teenager was last seen leaving his residence at Pangsapuri Rimba, Section 16, around 6.45 am on June 23.

His disappearance was realized by his family when he could not be contacted, and he has yet to be found. He is believed to have had a misunderstanding with his mother before going missing. The police have initiated investigations and opened a missing persons case, considering the teenager's acquaintances and locations he frequently visited.

Sarudin urged the public with relevant information to assist authorities in locating the teenager and ensuring his safety. He encouraged anyone with information to contact the investigating officer, Inspector Mohd Razi Sahari, at 019-5717076. Public cooperation is crucial in spreading this information so Muhammad Shazriq Ziqri can be found safely as soon as possible.

He also advised against public speculation as it could disrupt the investigation. Search efforts will be intensified until the teenager is located.
