Police Seek Two Suspected Snatch Thieves in Necklace Robbery

Melaka: The police are on the hunt for two men suspected to have snatched a gold necklace from a woman in front of a house in Taman Paya Dalam, Ayer Molek here last Friday. Melaka Tengah police chief ACP Christopher Patit stated that the incident occurred at 7:34 pm when the 55-year-old victim was outside the house waiting for her daughter.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the victim noticed two men on a blue motorcycle passing by, which suddenly turned around and approached her. One of the men then snatched the gold necklace, valued at RM12,000, from her neck. Despite her attempts to fight back, the suspect succeeded in taking the necklace and fled the scene.

The woman, experiencing chest pain after the incident, filed a report at the Tiang Dua police station on the same day. Christopher noted that the incident was captured by a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system at the victim’s residence.

The footage revealed that the suspects were wearing black crash helmets and black shirts, and they were riding a blue Kawasaki RR motorbike.
