Bidor:A shooting incident involving a businessman at a petrol station in Bidor Sentral has led Perak police to collect statements from nine individuals as part of their ongoing investigation.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the statements were recorded from the victim, three family members present in the victim's vehicle, two individuals in a nearby vehicle, and employees of the petrol station. The victim is currently in stable condition following treatment and surgery at Seri Botani Hospital.
Perak Police Chief Datuk Mohd Alwi Zainal Abidin stated that the motive behind the attack remains unclear, but authorities are exploring various possibilities. Three individuals are suspected of involvement, including a driver, and it is believed that the vehicle's registration number was falsified. CCTV footage from the petrol station showed the victim being shot from the front and right side.
Further investigations revealed that the suspects' vehicle did not exit the toll plazas, suggesting they may have been following the victim.
