Police Launch Investigation into Disturbance at Bersatu AGM

Shah alam: Police have opened an investigation regarding the commotion that erupted at the 8th Bersatu Annual General Assembly held at the Ideal Convention Centre (IDCC) here yesterday. Shah Alam District Police Chief ACP Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim stated that a police report was received at 12:18 am today from the party’s head of security.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the complainant, who was on duty during the incident, observed two male individuals, identified as party members, standing up and shouting, interrupting the speech of Bersatu President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin. The complainant attempted to calm one of the men but was pulled from behind, causing him to fall and a commotion to ensue in the hall.

The situation was controlled by several other members, who escorted both men out, allowing the assembly to proceed as planned. Mohd Iqbal confirmed in a statement that the incident resulted in no injuries or property damage.

He also urged anyone with information to contact Senior Criminal Investigating Officer ASP Mohd Afandi Ahmad at 016-7252948. The case is under investigation under Section 160 of the Penal Code.
