Dengkil: Police are investigating a teacher at a school in Dengkil who was alleged to have a special relationship with his 12-year-old student. Sepang district police chief ACP Norhizam Bahaman reported that a complaint was received from the pupil’s father on Wednesday (Feb 26).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the father became concerned and decided to file a report after discovering that his daughter was frequently contacted by the teacher through TikTok, Love8, and WhatsApp applications. ACP Norhizam Bahaman noted that the interactions appeared suspicious and did not align with a typical student-teacher relationship.

The teacher, a male in his 30s, has already provided a statement to the police as of yesterday, and the investigation remains active. Authorities are examining the case under Section 15(a)(iii) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017. If found guilty, the accused may face a prison sentence exceeding 10 years, a fine not exceeding RM20,000, or both.
