Police Arrest 10 Men Following Armed Riot After Accident in Bahau

Bahau: Police have arrested 10 local men suspected of rioting with weapons following a road accident in Taman Acbe, Bahau, Jempol, last night. Jempol District police chief Supt Hoo Chang Hook stated that the suspects, aged between 21 and 43, were apprehended at the scene and in nearby areas between 11 pm and 3 am.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, police received a report of an accident involving two cars at 10 pm. Upon arrival, officers found two groups of men engaged in a heated argument at the scene. The situation quickly escalated into a physical altercation, resulting in three men being injured after being attacked with helmets. The injured individuals were transported to Jempol Hospital for treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.

The suspects have been remanded for four days until February 11 to assist in investigations under Section 148 of the Penal Code. Supt Hoo has cautioned the public against speculating on the case, as investigations are ongoing.
