Kajang:Police are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage related to a fatal accident at KM13.1 of the Cheras-Kajang Highway, where a 23-year-old male motorcyclist lost his life in a collision with a lorry.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kajang police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof reported that the accident occurred yesterday, with a report received at about 6 pm. Initial investigations suggest that the motorcyclist, traveling from Kuala Lumpur towards Kajang, may have lost control and fallen onto the road. A lorry, unable to avoid him, ran over the victim, resulting in his death at the scene.

The lorry driver has not yet filed a police report. The incident is currently under investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, concerning reckless or dangerous driving causing death.

Police are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage of the accident to assist in the investigation. Witnesses can contact the investigating officer, Insp Nur Faezah Mohd Zakria, at 012-326 8496. ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof also advised road users to drive responsibly, adhere to speed limits, and follow traffic regulations.
