Kuala lumpur: The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Media and Strategic Communications Division, in collaboration with Gabungan Kelab Media Malaysia (GKMM), is expanding the Qurban Media 2.0 programme to six states this year in conjunction with Aidiladha.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, GKMM stated that the programme, now in its second year, underscores the PMO's ongoing commitment to fostering relationships with media practitioners across the nation through welfare and community-based initiatives. "This year, the qurban programme will be held in Putrajaya, Johor, Kedah, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan and Pahang," it said in a statement.
The initiative involves collaboration with several regional media clubs, including the Johor Media Club (KMJ), Putrajaya Media Club (KMP), Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Journalists Club (KLS), Negeri Sembilan Media Club (MANIS), Melaka Media Practitioners Club (PENDIKA), Kedah Elite Media Club (KMEK), and Pahang Press.
GKMM also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the PMO Media and Strategic Communications Division for their support and partnership in ensuring the programme's success. It emphasized that the initiative aims to not only strengthen bonds among media practitioners but also to instill compassion and provide assistance to those in need, aligning with the MADANI principles of well-being and compassion.
