Kuantan: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today gave contributions to two Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) veterans in Kuantan, Pahang. The cash and food baskets were handed over by his political secretary Datuk Ahmad Farhan Fauzi to Abu Samah Simat of Taman Balok Perdana and Sulaiman Yusoh of Taman Balok Makmur during visits to their homes.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Farhan stated that the assistance was not only to ease their burden but also to remind them that the service of veterans is never overlooked. He expressed well-wishes for both veterans on Facebook, which were also shared by the Prime Minister. Ahmad Farhan wished for the recovery and strength of Encik Abu Samah, acknowledging his sacrifices for the nation’s security. Similarly, he hoped for continued health and strength for Pakcik Sulaiman and noted that his service and sacrifices would be regarded as continuous charitable deeds.
Ahmad Farhan, along with the Indera Mahkota MAF Veterans Association, participated in the Ziarah MADANI programme to visit Abu Samah, who is a stroke patient, and Sulaiman, who suffers from chronic heart disease.
