Kuantan: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended financial assistance to a single mother, a patient suffering from lung problems, and an elderly woman in Kuantan, Pahang, through the Ziarah MADANI Indera Mahkota programme.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the contributions were delivered by the Prime Minister's Political Secretary Datuk Ahmad Farhan Fauzi, who represented Anwar during visits to the recipients at several locations in the district.
In a Facebook post also shared by the Prime Minister, Ahmad Farhan said he visited a single mother, Larna, in Kampung Balok, who has persevered in supporting her family. "During the visit, I delivered assistance and food boxes on behalf of the Prime Minister as a sign of concern and support for those in need. It is hoped that the assistance provided will help ease the burden on Larna and her family and bring them a ray of hope," he said.
In a separate post, Ahmad Farhan said he also presented financial assistance and food boxes on behalf of the Prime Minister to Mohd Firdaus Mohd Zain in Kampung Balok Pantai, who is bedridden due to lung complications resulting from an accident. He said Mohd Firdaus suffers from shortness of breath and nerve pain and depends on a breathing aid in his daily life.
Ahmad Farhan also presented a personal contribution to an elderly woman, Hindon, who is over 100 years old and frail, and uses a wheelchair. The outreach programme was continued in Kampung Balok Pantai at the home of a fisherman, Zamrifaizal Dzuani.
Ahmad Farhan said an application for assistance to build an additional room had been submitted to ensure greater comfort for the family, as the existing house space was insufficient to accommodate the large number of family members. 'God willing, this application will be forwarded to the relevant agencies for further action. A small contribution was also presented on behalf of the Prime Minister,' he added.
