PM Anwar Urges Leaders To Make Most Of Ramadan To Help Those Still Left Behind

Kajang: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on community leaders and government agencies to make the most of Ramadan and use the remaining weeks to reach out to those still left behind by development.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Prime Minister mentioned that although the government has introduced initiatives such as Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR), Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA), and salary adjustments, there remains a small segment of society that has yet to fully benefit from the assistance.

Anwar emphasized the need to address this issue, stating, 'We rarely speak about them, and at every level we are preoccupied with our own affairs. I want to take this opportunity to urge mosque and surau committees, school headmasters and principals, village heads, and youth leaders to step up our charitable efforts.'

He encouraged leaders to seize the opportunity Ramadan presents to uplift all segments of society by easing their burdens. This call to action was made after he joined 2,000 congregants in performing Friday prayers at Masjid Jamek Pekan Kajang.

The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of cooperation between the civil service, the private sector, and the public to ensure that relief reaches those in need during Ramadan, expressing his aspiration that this Ramadan and Aidilfitri will truly bring comfort to people at every level.
