Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will announce Malaysia's strategic measures to strengthen preparedness for a potential global energy crisis following tensions in West Asia in a special broadcast at 6.30 pm today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, in a Facebook post, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated that the approach to be outlined would be firm, well-planned, and centered on the interests of the people as well as national resilience. The announcement is part of Malaysia's efforts to address the challenges posed by the ongoing conflict in West Asia, which has significant implications for energy security globally.
'Insya-Allah, I will outline the country's strategic measures to enhance preparedness in facing the global energy crisis arising from the conflict in West Asia, with an approach that is firm, structured, and focused on the interests of the people and the nation's resilience,' he said. This initiative aims to ensure that Malaysia is equipped to handle any disruptions in energy supply and maintain stability within the nation.
The announcement will be broadcast live on local television channels, including Bernama TV and Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), ensuring that the public is informed of the government's strategic plans and measures to safeguard the nation against potential energy shortages.
