PM Anwar Proposes Vertical School In KL Residensi Aman MADANI

Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has proposed the construction of a vertical school in the Residensi Aman MADANI area to meet the educational needs of the local population. The proposal arises from discussions with the developer, ministry, and relevant agencies after the groundbreaking ceremony for the residential project in Bandar Sri Permaisuri on August 6.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, despite the presence of a nearby primary school, its limited capacity makes it imperative to develop a new institution to accommodate the increasing population. Anwar suggested the construction of a vertical school within the development area or alternatively, a school positioned opposite the residence with a connecting pedestrian bridge.

The proposed school would be accessible to all local residents and include facilities aligned with the MADANI framework, such as a kindergarten, surau, clinic, and security center. Anwar emphasized that these comprehensive amenities aim to provide comfort to the residents.

On February 18, reports indicated that Kuala Lumpur City Hall planned to develop vertical schools with two blocks ranging from 10 to 17 storeys in the city center. This initiative aims to address the challenges posed by limited land availability and the growing population in the capital. Furthermore, on July 30, the Education Ministry reportedly finalized the Planning Guide for Vertical School Development, focusing on design principles that ensure pupil supervision and safety.
