PM Anwar Ibrahim to Boost Johor Campaign with PH Grand Finale Appearance

Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is set to energize the campaign trail in Johor with an appearance at the Pakatan Harapan (PH) grand finale event on July 9. This event comes just two days before voters in Johor head to the polls, signaling the importance of the upcoming elections for the coalition.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, PH secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail confirmed the Prime Minister's involvement, emphasizing Anwar's commitment to supporting the PH campaign. "Yes, the PM will be coming down," Saifuddin stated following a walkabout with PH candidates competing for seven state seats.

The candidates in focus include Arthur Chiong Sen Sern for Bukit Batu, Mohd Syafwan Ani for Bukit Permai, Wong Bor Yang for Senai, Yeo Tung Siong for Pekan Nanas, Haniff @ Ghazali Hosman for Pulai Sebatang, Guna Balakrishnan for Layang-Layang, and Nor Hafiz Roslan for Machap. Saifuddin playfully noted that the frequency of Anwar's visits could be a reflection of the campaign's performance. "If he's satisfied with me, Amir (PKR vice-president), and the machinery, he might not come often. But if he's here frequently, that means we have problems," he quipped.

The PH grand finale event will feature all component party presidents, as revealed by Saifuddin. He assured that more details would be announced as the event draws closer, while the Prime Minister's schedule remains to be confirmed. "For now, our focus is on the campaign," Saifuddin emphasized, highlighting the coalition's dedication to securing a favorable outcome in the elections.
