Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has voiced grave concerns regarding the surge in extreme behaviors across the nation, highlighting violent incidents such as the recent assault on the son of Pandan MP Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli and fatal bullying cases.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar assured the public in the Dewan Rakyat that decisive and transparent actions will be taken by the Home Minister and police to curb these troubling incidents. He emphasized the urgency of addressing this “deeply worrying” culture of violence.

These remarks were made in response to a question posed by Datuk Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik (PH-Balik Pulau) during the Minister’s Question Time, who sought clarity on Petronas’ asset portfolio rationalization amidst global market uncertainties.

Muhammad Bakhtiar condemned the attack on Rafizi’s family, urging law enforcement to thoroughly investigate and prosecute those responsible. The call for justice follows confirmation from Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar about the assault on Rafizi’s son at a shopping mall in Putrajaya. The incident reportedly occurred around 2 pm in a passenger pick-up and drop-off area.

Rafizi detailed that his son was forcibly dragged and injected with a syringe by one of two men on a motorcycle, both attired in black and wearing full-face helmets, escalating the urgency for addressing the rising violence in the region.
