Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today received a briefing from the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) on plans to expand secondary and higher education institutions under the council in Kuala Lumpur. Anwar said the government’s commitment to meeting the needs of secondary education, which also offers a religious environment for students, would continue to be prioritised.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar emphasized the importance of the spirit of education and the essence of values and morality in the education of children, alongside physical development and facilities. He expressed hope that MAIWP’s plan to provide quality education would benefit children from underprivileged families. This initiative is also seen as a continuation of charitable deeds made possible through zakat (tithe) contributions in the Federal Territories.
