Seremban: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today conveyed his condolences to the family of a Form Four female student who died at a secondary school in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, this morning.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar expressed his and his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail's sorrow over the tragic news in a Facebook post. He offered prayers for the student's soul, hoping it would be blessed and placed among the righteous. Anwar also extended his wishes for the family to be granted strength and resilience during this difficult time, ending his message with "Al-Fatihah."
The Prime Minister noted that the Education Ministry had been mobilized to provide necessary assistance and counselling support for the grieving family and the school community impacted by this incident. He urged everyone to respect the family's privacy and called for restraint in spreading unverified information while police investigations are still in progress.
Earlier, Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad reported that police had received a notification at 10.48 am regarding the student being found unconscious at the secondary school, where she was later pronounced dead at the scene. In a related statement, Education director-general Datuk Dr Mohd Azam Ahmad confirmed that no elements of bullying had been detected in connection with the incident.
