PM Anwar Engages with Vendors and Visitors at Sepanggar Ramadan Bazaar

Sepanggar: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today dedicated approximately 30 minutes to visit the Ramadan Bazaar at University Apartment (UA) in Sepanggar, mingling with traders and patrons alike.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar was accompanied by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) Datuk Mustapha Sakmud. The prime minister arrived at 4.53 pm, interacting with the local community before heading to Universiti Malaysia Sabah for a breaking of fast event.

Among the traders, kuih vendor Francis Sungkin, aged 42, shared his excitement about meeting the Prime Minister and having the opportunity to take a photograph with him. "I am happy because my stall was among those visited by the Prime Minister, and it motivates me even more to continue trading with the presence of the country's number one leader. I have been trading at this Ramadan bazaar for three years, and this is the first time the Prime Minister has visited here," he stated.

Visitor Jerry Soibik, 41, also expressed his surprise and delight at encountering the Prime Minister during his visit to the bazaar. "This is my first time visiting this bazaar.coincidentally I brought my son to get a haircut in the area and stopped by to buy food, and I did not expect to run into the Prime Minister," he explained. Despite not having the opportunity to take a photo due to the crowd, Jerry hopes for another chance to meet and take a photograph with the Prime Minister in the future.
