PM Anwar Engages With Nairobi’s Jamia Mosque Leaders to Promote Education and Da’wah

Nairobi: Amid a busy official schedule in Kenya today, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim met with leaders of the Jamia Mosque in Nairobi to strengthen the development of the ummah, focusing on education and da’wah. Anwar said the meeting also provided an opportunity for him and the leaders to exchange views on efforts to strengthen institutions and build a morally upright and capable society.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to continue elevating the stature of Islam as a religion that upholds well-being, tolerance, and compassion. He emphasized the importance of education, responsible da’wah, inter-civilisational dialogue, and close cooperation with the Muslim community in Kenya.

The Prime Minister also expressed Malaysia’s commitment to continue printing and publishing the Quran in various languages for global distribution, to serve as a reference showcasing the beauty, moderation, and mercy central to Islamic teachings. During the meeting, he also presented a special edition copy of the Quran along with some Swahili-translated copies, as a symbol of knowledge dissemination and strengthening of bonds.
