PM Anwar Engages in Strategic Talks with UAE Leaders in Dubai


Dubai: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Monday met with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who also serves as the Ruler of Dubai. The meeting took place at the Za’abeel Palace.



According to BERNAMA News Agency, the discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring collaborative opportunities in sectors such as renewable energy, food and energy security, artificial intelligence, and data centers. Regional and global issues of common interest were also on the agenda.



Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz and Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir accompanied Prime Minister Anwar during the meeting. The prime minister’s visit to the UAE spans three days, following an invitation from Sheikh Mohammed to participate in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in Abu Dhabi. Anwar arrived in the UAE capital on Sunday.



Earlier in the day, Anwar engaged with senior management from the UAE’s sovereign wealth funds, including the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), Mubadala, and Masdar, during his stay in Abu Dhabi.
