Serdang: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has been confirmed to be in top health following his annual medical check-up at Sultan Idris Shah Hospital. The examination, conducted on Saturday, affirmed that the Prime Minister is in excellent condition and fully capable of continuing his official duties.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tunku Nashrul Tunku Abaidah, the Senior Press Secretary to the Prime Minister, stated in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) daily briefing that the announcement of the check-up results will be left to the hospital to ensure transparency. This approach aims to avoid speculation and outdated practices of issuing vague statements, which often resulted in public misunderstanding.
Tunku Nashrul emphasized that the health of national leaders is a significant responsibility and that transparency should come directly from medical professionals. He also addressed inquiries about the timing of the Prime Minister’s medical check-up, clarifying that it is scheduled according to the Prime Minister’s availability amidst his busy national agenda.
