Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has conveyed his condolences on the passing of veteran actor and singer Jalil Hamid today. He described Jalil as a figure who made significant contributions to the local arts scene, adding that his passing is a great loss to the nation's creative industry.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Jalil, 69, passed away at 12.30 pm at his residence in Shah Alam. He was laid to rest at the Section 21 Muslim Cemetery at about 5.50 pm. Prime Minister Anwar emphasized that Jalil's services and legacy will always be remembered and expressed his deepest sympathies to Jalil's family, wishing them strength and fortitude during this difficult time. The Prime Minister shared his message of condolence through a heartfelt post on his Facebook page.
