Kuala terengganu: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has provided an additional allocation of RM200,000 to support the organising of the two-day RXZ Members 7.0 2025 programme at Gong Badak Motorsports Circuit here, which began yesterday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Prime Minister’s senior political secretary, Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin, stated that the additional allocation is intended to encourage organisers to continue facilitating motorsports activities that have an economic impact and can strengthen community ties in the future. Previously, the Prime Minister had allocated RM100,000 for the event, bringing the total support to RM300,000.

Shamsul Iskandar highlighted that the additional funding is a result of the Prime Minister’s efforts, bolstered by corporate backing. He emphasized that events like the RXZ Members 7.0 create platforms for local motorsports enthusiasts and elevate the industry.

He also dismissed claims that the government had prevented organisers from involving the Terengganu government, clarifying that the programme is organised independently without the participation of any state governments or politicians annually. The Prime Minister perceives the programme as a celebration of national diversity and an opportunity to contribute positively to the community.
