Pasir puteh: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim attended the 2026 Pasir Puteh district development meeting at the Pasir Puteh Land and District Office here today. Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, arrived at 11.50 am and was greeted by Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud, alongside several state executive councillors and senior state officials.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the special meeting was also attended by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar and Public Service Department director-general Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz. Following the meeting, Anwar is scheduled to attend a meet-and-greet and visit Masjid Gong Chapa here at 1.30 pm.
Anwar stated that the discussion session addressed pressing issues faced by the people, including efforts to reduce flood risks through improvements to drainage systems and river banks. He emphasized the importance of translating plans into thorough, efficient, and effective actions for the benefit of the people, as noted on his official Facebook account.
Security issues were also discussed, with focus on the installation of solar lights and closed-circuit cameras, alongside the need to upgrade infrastructure, enhance the socio-economy, and expand the welfare network. Anwar suggested a comprehensive and integrated action plan involving all local authorities, and state and federal governments to address major issues such as health, education, and food security.
He expressed hope that these efforts would improve the standard of living and enhance the overall well-being of the people of Kelantan.
