PM Anwar Advocates for Revised SOPs in Development Approvals

Kuala Lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged relevant authorities to streamline and review the current standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to the development approval process. He highlighted the importance of periodic monitoring to ensure Malaysia’s adaptability to global changes.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar expressed these views in a Facebook post, noting that the initiative aligns with the MADANI Government’s mission to keep Malaysia competitive as a leading investment destination in the region.

During the 47th National Physical Planning Council meeting, Anwar underscored the necessity of enhancing cooperation between federal and state governments. He emphasized that this collaboration is crucial for strengthening domestic resilience amid global economic uncertainties by expediting development projects that can open new markets.

On March 13, Anwar stated that federal and state governments must remain dedicated to creating a more inclusive and prosperous future for Malaysia, focusing on the well-being and welfare of its citizens. This also involves fast-tracking people-centric projects that necessitate improved cooperation and coordination across government levels.
