Kuala lumpur: The plight of two families who lost their homes in a fire at Jalan Nuri, Kampung Seri Cheeding, Banting, two weeks ago has drawn the attention of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. In a Facebook post today, Anwar said that, prior to performing Friday prayers, he had visited both families to present them with contributions.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the incident is particularly tragic as one of the families lost a three-year-old son who died after being trapped in the fire. Anwar expressed his condolences and shared his hope that the contributions would provide some relief to the affected families.
In the early hours of February 6, the fire destroyed three houses in the village, resulting in the devastating loss of life and property. Anwar emphasized the importance of community support in helping the families cope with their loss and called for perseverance and strength for those affected.
