Kuantan: The Wanita Jelajah Desa (Sukma Waja) programme is expected to help build strength within communities and ensure that Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) continues to work hard to win the hearts of the people in line with the aspirations of Malaysia MADANI, said Wanita PKR chief Fadhlina Sidek. According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Sukma Waja components encompass activism, involving teams going to ground to engage with communities, while the education aspect focuses on efforts to enhance awareness and continuous advocacy for women's rights. Fadhlina Sidek emphasized the importance of women being prosperous, protected, and given attention in various areas such as economic, social, and educational development, asserting that the nation's prosperity is linked to the well-being of women. During the Sukma Waja Carnival at Taman Gelora, Fadhlina also unveiled the Silat Srikandi Gelanggang Seri Teja, an event graced by the Prime Minister's Political Secretary and Pahang PKR chairman Datuk Ahmad Farhan Fauzi, along with Wanita PKR deputy chief Juwairiya Zulkifli. The Education Minister mentioned that Sukma Waja will target women at the parliamentary constituency and party levels to enhance communication and information delivery to the public. Fadhlina expressed the ongoing efforts to ensure the Sukma Waja message resonates across the nation, specifically for women's well-being. She spoke about introducing Silat Srikandi Gelanggang Seri Teja as a significant program under Sukma Waja to promote teenage girls' participation in healthy activities and self-defense learning. The programme will feature modules designed by Wanita Keadilan Pahang to educate and empower young women. Fadhlina also highlighted PKR's commitment to increasing women's representation in Parliament, which has yet to reach the 30 per cent mark. She noted the importance of providing opportunities for women and fostering their success in various fields, including education, to position Malaysia as a leading example in women's achievements in Parliament, the Cabinet, and society.
