Melaka: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) must continue to serve as a mass movement that upholds integrity, social justice, unity, and the people's trust, rather than merely acting as a vehicle for winning elections, said its president, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized in a Facebook post today that these principles are crucial in the effort to build a more dignified, prosperous, and just Malaysia for all. Anwar extended his best wishes to delegates attending the PKR National Congress 2026, hoping that the gathering will serve as a platform for introspection, allowing the party to assess its achievements and strengthen its resolve to carry forward the Reformasi agenda.
The two-day PKR National Congress 2026 begins tomorrow at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) in Ayer Keroh, Melaka, under the theme 'Memugar Reformasi, Membina MADANI' (Revitalising Reformasi, Building MADANI). The congress is viewed as a significant platform for the party to strengthen its direction while reinvigorating the spirit of the reformasi struggle that formed the foundation of PKR in navigating the current political landscape.
Anwar is scheduled to officiate the congress tomorrow and deliver his policy speech, which is expected to outline the party's strategic agenda and direction.
