PKNS Entrepreneur Carnival Targets RM200,000 Sales

Shah alam: The PKNS Entrepreneur Carnival (KUP) is aiming for sales transactions amounting to RM200,000 over its three-day event held at the PKNS Complex.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, State Youth, Sports and Entrepreneurship Committee chairman Mohd Najwan Halimi reported that the carnival has already achieved RM65,209 in total transactions. The event offers entrepreneurs the chance to enhance their skills and marketability while participating in one of four entrepreneurship module programs managed by the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS): the Tunas Niaga Programme (PROTUNe), the Graduate Entrepreneur Programme (GROW), the Advanced Graduate Entrepreneur Programme (GROW PLUS), and the BIZCLUB Exclusive Programme.

Mohd Najwan highlighted that participating entrepreneurs gain not only business opportunities but also training in communication, marketing, time management, and social skills through an expo course. He encouraged visitors to support local entrepreneurs by purchasing their products, emphasizing the unique experience provided by the carnival. He also reiterated the state government’s commitment to enhancing policies and initiatives to support entrepreneurship development in Selangor to reduce unemployment, boost youth competitiveness, and strengthen the economic structure at the grassroots level.

PKNS deputy group chief executive officer (corporate) Suhaimi Kasdon noted that this year’s carnival features 120 sales stalls, showcasing the participation of both entrepreneurs and students from throughout Selangor. He remarked on the increasing entrepreneurial spirit, particularly among young people eager to introduce their products and services through the PKNS platform.

The KUP, which began yesterday and concludes tomorrow, features a variety of products and services, including handicrafts, food, baby items, and catering.
