Pkns Allocates RM2 Million for Electricity Restoration at Seri Perantau Apartments

Port klang: The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) has allocated RM2 million to address the ongoing electricity disruption at Seri Perantau Apartments in Port Klang, a problem that has persisted since December 7.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Selangor Housing and Culture Committee chairman Datuk Borhan Aman Shah stated that the state government would coordinate the necessary repair work, including appointing the relevant contractors, as an initial step. He also mentioned a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative between PKNS and Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), which will be activated, including contributions through the CERIA scheme.

The state government is also expediting the establishment of a Joint Management Body (JMB) or Management Corporation (MC) to ensure better management of the building. Borhan emphasized the seriousness of the electricity disruption, which has impacted approximately 600 residents.

He noted that comprehensive and phased actions are necessary to prioritize residents' safety. The state government will closely monitor the developments and collaborate with relevant parties, including the State Treasury and the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, to implement both medium- and long-term solutions.
