Kuala lumpur: Pakatan Harapan (PH) is set to intensify its campaign efforts by leveraging social media platforms, notably TikTok, to engage young voters ahead of the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election scheduled for this Saturday. PH Communications Director Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil announced plans for a continuous TikTok livestream lasting over 24 hours, aimed at reaching the younger demographic.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fahmi emphasized that all PH candidates are committed to securing victory for the coalition, with a focus on winning all 16 seats contested by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) to bolster PH's performance in the election. He outlined a strategy that includes both small-group and large-scale rallies, with social media playing a key role in reaching young voters, particularly in constituencies with PKR candidates.

Fahmi elaborated that the TikTok livestream would commence tomorrow night, featuring participation from all PH candidates, influencers, and young people. The initiative aims to create a dynamic and interactive platform for engagement. This announcement was made during Fahmi's visit to the Negeri Sembilan bureau of the Malaysian National News Agency, accompanied by top officials from the Communications Ministry and Bernama.

In addition to campaign strategies, Fahmi noted that the PH manifesto includes new initiatives such as providing allowances to traditional community leaders, acknowledging their contributions to society. Addressing concerns about electoral integrity, Fahmi reiterated PH's zero-tolerance stance on bribery and corruption, emphasizing the coalition's focus on candidate performance and capability.

The issue of alleged vote-buying has surfaced during the election campaign, prompting police investigations. Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad confirmed that an investigation had been launched following a report about a message circulated via WhatsApp, leading to the opening of three new investigation papers related to election offences.
