Kuala lumpur: Pakatan Harapan (PH) says its cooperation within the Unity Government has demonstrated that a partnership built on trust can strengthen economic development and improve the well-being of the people. PH election director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the coalition's achievements include financial assistance to help ease the cost of living, expanded education and employment opportunities for young people, affordable housing initiatives, support for senior citizens, and the preservation of religious harmony.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Amirudin emphasized that PH's performance and commitment are not mere promises, but tangible results already enjoyed by the people in Selangor, Penang, Negeri Sembilan, and now at the federal level. He criticized others for using the political rhetoric of Penyatuan Ummah (Unity of Ummah) to frighten the public, asserting that PH remains dedicated to uniting Malaysians in line with the principles of the Rukun Negara. This approach aims to build a prosperous, harmonious, and stable future founded on a confident and progressive society.
Amirudin, who is also Selangor Menteri Besar and a PKR vice-president, described the Unity of Ummah narrative promoted by PAS as a political slogan that has repeatedly failed to address people's problems or boost the economy. He attributed this failure to the narrative's focus on political interests and the lack of principle among its proponents, who are motivated solely by the pursuit of power.
He further cautioned Barisan Nasional (BN) to recognize what he perceives as Perikatan Nasional's (PN) attempts to dominate the coalition. Amirudin pointed to the use of the term 'Perikatan Barisan Nasional' as evidence of PN's intentions to assert dominance over BN.
