PH, BN Closing In On Agreement For Sabah Polls

Pasir puteh: Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) are nearing the final stages of their negotiations in preparation for the Sabah state election, as revealed by UMNO secretary-general Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki. He stated that discussions with all relevant parties are actively ongoing to strategize for the upcoming election.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Asyraf emphasized the open yet cautious approach being taken in the negotiations. “We are in talks with all parties. Insya-Allah, we will continue discussions with everyone. As the UMNO president (Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi) said, we have never completely shut the door, nor have we thrown it wide open,” he shared with reporters after the Pasir Puteh UMNO division delegates meeting.

The discussions also touch upon the cooperation between PH and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), as the parties aim to form a united front for the state election. The current five-year term of the Sabah state assembly is set to expire on November 11, prompting these final-stage negotiations.
