Kuala Lumpur: Pestec International Bhd’s subsidiary, Pestech Technology Sdn Bhd, has been awarded a RM270.4 million contract from Dhaya Maju Infrastructure (Asia) Sdn Bhd (DMIA) for Phase 2 of the Klang Valley electric double-track railway project.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the contract involves the design, construction, completion, testing, and commissioning of works for the project, along with a 24-month defects liability warranty following the issuance of the Certificate of Practical Completion.

DMIA, the majority shareholder of Pestec with a 57.52% stake, will oversee the project. The contract is set to commence on May 28 and is scheduled for completion by January 16, 2029.

Pestec anticipates that the contract will positively impact its earnings and net assets per share from the financial years 2026 to 2029, while also enhancing its order book.
