KUALA LUMPUR: Perma-Pipe International Holdings Inc has announced the acquisition of new project awards amounting to US$15 million in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and the Americas. (US$1=RM4.39) According to BERNAMA News Agency, the company revealed that it has secured US$6 million in projects in the MENA region and US$9 million in the Americas, indicating a steady improvement in these areas.

These projects are set to leverage Perma-Pipe’s expertise in anti-corrosion coatings and the XTRU-THERM insulation system, which features a spray-applied polyurethane foam encased in a high-density polyethylene jacket. Perma-Pipe President and CEO, David Mansfield, stated that the growth in various regions aligns with the company’s overarching strategy, enabling the firm to bolster its leading market position.

The recent project awards contribute to a significant increase in the company’s backlog, which has surged from US$75.0 million as of July 31 to over US$100.0 million. In the MENA region, the pro
jects are primarily focused on district energy infrastructure within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) area. In contrast, the awards in the Americas highlight the market’s resilience and reinforce the company’s growing presence in the United States and Canada.

Perma-Pipe, a global leader in pre-insulated piping and leak detection systems for the oil and gas sector, district heating and cooling, and other applications, operates out of 15 locations across six countries.
