Kangar: The Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, has called on all quarters to continue strengthening the teachings of Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah in the state, which are firmly rooted in the Quran and Sunnah. His Royal Highness emphasized the need for support toward knowledge-based programs and beneficial activities that uphold the true teachings of Islam while rejecting superstitions and deviant practices that contradict the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin urged for the prosperity of the state by reinforcing positive values so that more people may benefit. He made these remarks during the closing ceremony of the 10th edition of the ‘Perkampungan Sunnah’ program. The event saw the attendance of notable figures such as the Raja Perempuan of Perlis Tuanku Tengku Fauziah Tengku Abdul Rashid, the Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, and the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil.

Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin reiterated Perlis’ stance as a bastion of Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah teachings, explicitly rejecting the misuse of religious terms like ‘seeking blessings’, ‘sacredness’, and claims of dreams involving the Prophet.

The program, themed ‘Mengangkat Kebijaksanaan, Meruntuh Kedangkalan’, was conducted from May 9 and concluded yesterday, featuring nearly 60 speakers from Malaysia and international locations such as Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and Singapore.
