Kangar: The Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, has expressed his desire for Menteri Besar Abu Bakar Hamzah to continue leading the state administration without interference until the conclusion of the current Perlis State Assembly term. His Royal Highness emphasized that political stability is crucial for bolstering investor confidence in the region.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin urged all state assembly members to put aside personal agendas and fully support Abu Bakar in his governance for the welfare of the people and the state. "I wish to remind all Honourable Members that this is my government. Therefore, I hope that the Menteri Besar will be given the space to continue leading until the end of the 15th Perlis State Legislative Assembly term without any interference that could disrupt the plans that have been put in place," he asserted during his royal address, which was delivered by the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, at the opening of the fourth term of the assembly at Kompleks Seri Putra.

The Ruler further emphasized that political differences should not hinder the state's progress or the sincere efforts being made to attract development and investment. He also underscored the importance of maintaining strong ties with the federal government to ensure various support forms for the state's benefit.

Commending Abu Bakar's proactive approach, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin praised the series of visits and courtesy calls made by the Menteri Besar to various ministries to fortify state-federal cooperation. He expressed hope that these efforts would continue to enhance the state's development agenda, ensuring its smooth and effective implementation.
