Perlis RTD Deploys 100 Enforcement Officers In 2025 HRA Special Operation

Kangar: A total of 100 enforcement personnel from the Perlis Road Transport Department (RTD) are involved in the Hari Raya Aidilfitri (HRA) 2025 Special Operation which began on March 24 until April 8. Perlis RTD director Noraini Mohd Nawi stated that her department is highly committed to ensuring the success of the operation, emphasizing that there will be no compromise with any party found committing road traffic offences throughout the operation.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Noraini highlighted that Perlis RTD has been conducting inspections on express buses since March 17 at the Bukit Lagi Bus Terminal in Kangar. The main focus is on inspecting brake systems, tyres, lights, and other technical aspects involving safety to reduce the risk of road accidents. So far, 87 buses have been inspected, with no offences related to the technical aspects of the vehicles detected.

Noraini further mentioned that Perlis RTD enforcement officers will also be stationed at the Perlis Sentral Bus Terminal in Kangar, which began full operations on March 24. They will conduct similar exercises as those performed at the Bukit Lagi Bus Station.

Additionally, she reported that 313 summonses were issued for various offences on 2,319 vehicles inspected in a special operation in Perlis from March 24 to 6 pm today. This operation also involves collaboration with various other enforcement agencies such as the Royal Malaysian Police and the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK).
