Perlis Government Plans Establishment of Perlisku Bestari Strategic Institute

Kangar: The Perlis government has announced plans to establish the Perlisku Bestari Strategic Institute (ISPB) to collaborate with the State Economic Planning Division (BPEN) in seeking expert advice for studies in pertinent fields. This decision was made during a State Executive Council meeting, as announced by Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the approval for the establishment of ISPB was granted at the council meeting, with the institute’s membership to include experts from various fields based on the requirements of the state government’s studies. ISPB will play a crucial role in assisting BPEN by providing access to expert advice in any necessary area for research and analysis.

Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli emphasized that the institute would invite experts from local universities, including UniMAP (Universiti Malaysia Perlis), UiTM (Universiti Teknologi MARA), and USM (Universiti Sains Malaysia), among others, to ensure a comprehensive and informed approach to the state’s developmental studies. This initiative is expected to enhance the effectiveness and strategic implementation of state policies through informed decision-making.
