Perak: A subsidiary of Perak Transit Bhd has obtained the Green Project Certificate under the Green Technology Financing Scheme (GTFS) administered by the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, in a Bursa Malaysia filing, Perak Transit stated that the certificate is for the group’s initiative to procure 30 King Long City Buses (Euro 5) worth RM17.1 million. The procurement has fulfilled all GTFS eligibility criteria for the Energy Efficient Vehicle type in the transportation sector and user category.
Perak Transit executive director Datuk Cheong Peak Sooi mentioned that obtaining GTFS certification for Euro 5 green city buses underscored the company’s commitment to sustainable and energy-efficient transport solutions. He stated, “This recognition validates our strategic direction to modernise our fleet responsibly, enhance operational efficiency and align our growth with Malaysia’s green development goals.”
